Protagonisti di questa realt\u00e0 culturale furono i vescovi, gli ecclesiastici secolari e regolari, le confraternite laicali, nonch\u00e9 i semplici devoti e gli appartenenti alle maggiori famiglie feudatarie del Regno di Napoli. La stagione del Tardogotico e del Rinascimento \u00e8 qui testimoniata da alcune opere di livello eccelso, alcune inedite o poco note, che nello stesso tempo evidenziano un insospettato dinamismo di questa porzione della Lucania. Inoltre, ci\u00f2 aggiunge un altro tassello alla conoscenza del patrimonio orafo di questa regione meridionale e degli artisti che vi operarono sia autoctoni, sia forestieri.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Fifteenth and sixteenth century processional crosses in the diocese of Tricarico<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The article focuses on the fifteenth and sixteenth century processional crosses in some of the churches of the diocese of Tricarico, in Basilicata. The protagonists of this cultural phenomenon were bishops, lay and regular ecclesiasts, non clerical guilds, as well as everyday church goers and members of the Kingdom of Two Sicilies\u2019 wealthy landowning families. The group of crosses includes excellent examples of Late Gothic and Renaissance work, some, until now, unpublished.
