Architettura e citt\u00e0 in cento anni di storia<\/em> (2020)<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Il contributo prende in considerazione una selezione di contesti archeologici ostiensi, nei quali sono stati esaminare tre aspetti. Il primo aspetto, che di volta in volta viene messo in luce, \u00e8 come si presentassero i suddetti edifici e spazi attorno al 1940\u20131941, allorch\u00e9 Michele Busiri Vici elabor\u00f2 la documentazione fotografica, planimetrica e fotografica che \u00e8 alla base del suo progetto del &#8220;verde archeologico&#8221; per Ostia Antica. Non disponiamo di molti documenti per ricostruire &#8220;in presa diretta&#8221; alcuni scorci ostiensi che il \u201cgrande sterro\u201d diretto da Guido Calza aveva appena fatto emergere, a meno che lo scavo non fosse addirittura ancora in corso. Grazie al materiale su\u00a0\u00a0Busiri Vici (con l&#8217;appoggio di altra documentazione d&#8217;archivio coeva) si riscontra\u00a0\u00a0come i responsabili delle indagini procedessero ai restauri delle murature praticamente in contemporanea, o a brevissima distanza di tempo dalla scoperta. Il secondo aspetto \u00e8 quello progettuale: come Busiri Vici intendesse &#8220;allestire&#8221; gli spazi dal punto di vista dell&#8217;arredo arboreo e floreale. Il terzo aspetto riguarda l&#8217;oggi, cio\u00e8 in quale misura la presentazione attuale delle rovine (a seguito degli interventi che si sono susseguiti dalla fine della Seconda Guerra Mondiale ai nostri giorni) si discosti da quello che Busiri Vici aveva originariamente previsto. Quanto ai monumenti considerati, per vari motivi \u00e8 sembrato opportuno concentrarsi su alcune delle pi\u00f9 note residenze signorili tardo\u2013antiche di Ostia (le\u00a0<em>domus\u00a0<\/em>di Amore e Psiche, della Fortuna Annonaria, del Ninfeo, anche se gli scavatori avevano inizialmente attribuito loro altri nomi). Fra gli altri contesti presi in esame ci si \u00e8 soffermati sul caso particolare del Teatro e delle modalit\u00e0 e dei tempi del suo restauro (in parte, un vero e proprio intervento di ripristino).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Some archaeological contexts from Calza\u2019s \u201cBig Dig\u201d,<br \/>\nMichele Busiri Vici\u2019s \u201cGreen Archaeology\u201d and Ostia as it is today<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The paper discusses a selection of contexts from the Ostia archaeological site, concentrating on three specific aspects. The first, which occasionally comes to light, is how the buildings and open spaces appeared around about 1940 to \u201941. This was the period when Michele Busiri Vici was documenting, with photographs and plans, what could be seen. This documentation was at the heart of his \u201cGreen Archaeology\u201d project for\u00a0<em>Ostia Antica<\/em>. There aren\u2019t many records made at the time of Guido Calza\u2019s \u201cBig Dig\u201d, displaying the ruins he\u2019d only just unearthed, apart from photos of the excavation going on. It\u2019s thanks to information about Busiri Vici (and other documentation from the same time) that we know that those in charge of the excavations also foresaw the almost immediate restoration of the walls as they were exposed, or at least within a very short time. The second aspect concerned Busiri Vici\u2019s project to \u201cfurnish\u201d open spaces with shrubs and flowering plants. The third refers to the present day and how much, following work from the end of the Second World War up to the present day, the aspect of the ruins is distant from what Busiri Vici originally had in mind. As for which monuments were chosen, there was a variety of reasons why we picked some of the better known homes of Ostia\u2019s Late Roman well off, such as the\u00a0Domus di Amore e Psiche, the\u00a0Domus della Fortuna Annonaria\u00a0and the\u00a0Ninfeo, not forgetting that they had originally been given other names. Among the other contexts taken into account was the theatre. The way in which it was restored, and the time it took was in some ways an out and out refurbishment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Estratto dal volume speciale Ostia.
