Negli ultimi anni si \u00e8 verificata una crescita dell\u2019interesse e dell\u2019attivit\u00e0 nel campo del restauro dei giardini e parchi d\u2019interesse artistico e storico che, a partire dalla \u201cCarta del Restauro dei Giardini Storici\u201d detta \u201cCarta di Firenze\u201d (1982), ha progressivamente coinvolto istituzioni pubbliche e associazioni private stimolando una consistente produzione di letteratura specialistica e di restauri, dimostrando nel complesso ricchezza di orientamenti e variet\u00e0 interpretative del tema.
\nUno di questi indirizzi, che informa le testimonianze e le riflessioni del presente articolo, attribuisce alle correlazioni concettuali, artistiche e tecniche esistenti fra il giardino – sia esso di stile formale che naturalistico – e le architetture \u201cmurate\u201d, un valore ed un ruolo di necessit\u00e0, postulando che tali affinit\u00e0 si rispecchino nei metodi e nelle procedure del progetto di restauro.\u00a0In particolare uno dei temi importanti del progetto di restauro di un giardino storico \u00e8 costituito dalla raffigurazione delle piante legnose, sia per quanto riguarda la loro identificazione che per la rappresentazione del loro stato di conservazione.
\nQuesto scritto tratta di tale aspetto, rendendo pubblici i risultati di un\u2019esperienza specifica sviluppatasi tra il 1982 e il 2008 all\u2019interno del Ministero per i Beni e le Attivit\u00e0 Culturali e gestita esclusivamente da funzionari, tecnici ed operai del Ministero stesso. Considerata la relativa originalit\u00e0 e l\u2019utilit\u00e0 di tale esperienza, si auspica che ulteriori ricerche amplino il tema sviluppando le indagini sui metodi e le procedure dei due ambiti architettonico e giardiniero nel quadro di un concetto unitario.<\/div>\n

The search for a universal system of graphic representation<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the last few years, we have witnessed increased interest and activities in the restoration of gardens and parks of historic and artistic interest, which, following the adoption of the ICOMOS \u201cCharter of Historic Gardens\u201d, also known as the \u201cCharter of Florence\u201d (1982), has progressively involved both public institutions and private associations. These developments have stimulated a considerable specialised literature and restoration works, demonstrating on the whole many and diverse tendencies and a variety of interpretations in the treatment of historic gardens.
\nOne of these tendencies, which underlies the contents and considerations of the present article, gives to the conceptual, artistic and technical correlations that exist between the garden – whether designed in a formal or naturalistic style \u2013 and the \u201cbuilt\u201d architecture, a value and a role of necessity, assuming that these affinities are reflected in the methods and procedures of the restoration project. In particular, one of the important themes in the restoration of an historic garden revolves around how woody plants are represented, both with regard to their identification and in terms of their state of conservation.
\nThis article examines this particular theme, disseminating the results of a specific experience developed between 1982 and 2008 within the Italian Ministry of Culture and managed exclusively by officers, technical personnel and workers of the Ministry itself. Considering the relative originality and usefulness of this experience, it is hoped that further research may expand the theme in question by developing methods and procedures of restoring the architecture and the landscape of the garden within the framework of a single integrated concept.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
