I Cappuccilli di Ripabottoni"},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"justify\"><strong>Estratto dal fascicolo 16 (ottobre-dicembre 2012)<\/strong><\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">Il lavoro di ricerca riguardante la storia della famiglia Cappuccilli, delle loro propriet\u00e0 e di Ripabottoni (Cb) \u00e8 destinato a valorizzare l\u2019identit\u00e0 culturale sottesa, valutata principalmente come opportunit\u00e0 di sviluppo. Una storia fatta di persone, vicende e occasioni che si declina a partire dalla fine del Settecento e che trova riscontro in un intreccio stretto di dinamiche familiari e sociali contestualizzate nel Molise ottocentesco. L\u2019eversione della feudalit\u00e0 e la disponibilit\u00e0 di denaro consentirono ai Cappuccilli di comprare le propriet\u00e0 dei Caracciolo di Torchiarolo e quindi di far parte di quella nascente piccola borghesia che ha saputo affermare il proprio <em>status<\/em>\u00a0anche con il mecenatismo a favore di qualificate maestranze locali. Non esibizionismo quanto piuttosto la condivisione di un\u00a0<em>modus vivendi<\/em>\u00a0visto altrove. Palazzi, ville rustiche, cappelle gentilizie ma anche cariche sociali e istituzionali che hanno lasciato tracce e che ricercandole, ci consentono di elaborare alcuni processi analitici per le motivazioni della tutela e della conservazione. Il progetto di restauro del Casino Cappuccilli si inserisce in questa metodologia operativa come parte integrante di un percorso ampio destinato alla conoscenza.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<p><strong>When architecture documents the history of a family and a region: the Cappuccilli of Ripabottoni<\/strong><\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">This study of the history of the Cappuccilli family of Ripabottoni near Campobasso in Molise and their property enhances our appreciation of the cultural significance of this family and their development in the region. It is a story of personalities, events and opportunities that begins at the end of the eighteenth century and is closely interwoven with the history and social development of Molise during the nineteenth century. The overthrow of feudalism and subsequent improved economic climate enabled the Cappuccilli to buy properties from the Caracciolo di Torchiarolo, and thus become part of the growing land\u2013owning middle class that sought to confirm their newfound status by patronising local artists and artisans. It was not so much a question of showing off, but rather a desire to imitate a <em>modus vivendi<\/em> they had observed elsewhere. Their evolution can be traced through the palaces, country villas and famiy chapels they left behind, and through the public and institutional appointments they held.
