Attraverso una rilettura della documentazione superstite e l\u2019osservazione delle incongruenze che entrambe le opere mostrano, si sono sviluppate nuove ipotesi sul ruolo dei committenti, sui progetti originali e sulle maestranze coinvolte.<br \/>\nLe due cappelle\u00a0 rivelano una singolare contaminazione di linguaggi e il loro studio pu\u00f2 agevolare la comprensione dei meccanismi e delle procedure attuate nell\u2019isola, di fronte alla\u00a0 eterogeneit\u00e0 delle specializzazioni del cantiere e alla compresenza di linguaggi diversi (dal neo- romanico locale, al gotico internazionale e al classicismo), sino a evidenziare, in un caso, un\u2019esibizione compiaciuta di forme e stili del tempo e, nell\u2019altro, il dominio della sapienza costruttiva in pietra a vista.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<p><strong>The chapel of the Madonna and the chapel of Sailors in the church of the Annunziata in Trapani: Construction and Architecture <\/strong><strong>in the First Half of the Sixteenth Century in Sicily<\/strong><\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<div align=\"center\"><\/div>\n<div align=\"Justify\">he essay addresses issues related to the genesis and the construction of two chapels during the first half of the sixteenth century in the church of the Annunziata in Trapani. Through the re\u2013examination of extant documentation and the observation of incongruities present in these chapels, new hypotheses emerge about the role of the patrons, the original projects and the workforce involved.<br \/>\nBoth chapels show a unique mix of idioms, and their study may enable an understanding of the mechanisms and procedures then being utilized in Sicily, as the heterogeneity of expertise present at the worksite and the manifestation of different styles\u200b, from the local Romanesque revival, to the International Gothic and classicism, testify.
