Questa collezione, oggi custodita nel Castello di \u010castolovice, comprende tra gli altri alcuni pregevoli dipinti di provenienza italiana, tra cui il\u00a0<em>Giuseppe e la moglie di Putifarre<\/em> che in questa sede viene per la prima volta attribuito a Michele Desubleo (Maubeuge 1602 \u2013 Parma 1676). Questo quadro di provenienza ignota, acquisito a quanto pare alla collezione da Franti\u0161ek Christi\u00e1n Sternberg o da suo figlio maggiore, \u00e8 stato creato nei primi anni del soggiorno del pittore franco-fiammingo nella bottega di Guido Reni a Bologna e riempie quindi il vuoto di opere note di questo periodo iniziale dell\u2019attivit\u00e0 di Desubleo. Michele Desubleo vi ha rispecchiato gli impulsi tratti dal quadro con identico soggetto di Leonello Spada e soprattutto dal dipinto del suo grande maestro Guido Reni conservato al J. Paul Getty Museum di Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: center;\"><strong>A proposal for Michele Desubleo: The painting \u201cJoseph and Potiphar\u2019s wife\u201d in \u010castolovice Castle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The art collection of the longstanding noble family of Sternberg is one of the most important in the Czech Republic. It is yet to be studied by experts. The collection is now housed in \u010castolovice Castle. It includes <em>Joseph and Potiphar\u2019s wife<\/em>, which for the first time, this paper attributes to Michele Desubleo (Maubeuge 1602 \u2013 Parma 1676). The origins of this painting are unknown. It was presumably added to the collection by Franti\u0161ek Christi\u00e1n Sternberg or his elder son. It would have been painted during the first years of the Franco-Flemish artist\u2019s residence in Guido Reni\u2019s studio in Bologna. The piece goes to fill a vacuum in the list of known works from the artist\u2019s early period. Michele Desubleo mirrors the inspiration drawn from Leonello Spada\u2019s painting of the same subject, and even more so from the work by his great maestro Guido Reni, which hangs in the J.
