Ristabilita la corretta successione cronologica dei lavori e individuata la probabile responsabilit\u00e0 di Bernardo Rossellino per il progetto dell\u2019ultimo intervento, lo scritto si dedica a esaminare uno dei celebri elementi di corredo della cappella, l\u2019acquasantiera, e, tramite le testimonianze delle fonti, ne ricostruisce l\u2019aspetto mettendo in luce l\u2019importanza che questa dovette rivestire per lo sviluppo di simili opere di arredo.<\/div>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: center;\"><strong>Piero de\u2019 Medici again and the Chapel of the Annunziata. Clarifications over the ultimate refurbishment (1461\u20131463) and thoughts on the lost Medici Holy Water stoup<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">paper follows a sequence of events concerning the Chapel of the Annunziata in the basilica of the same name in Florence. It was commissioned by Piero de\u2019 Medici in 1448. It illustrates what was added to the complex between 1461 and 1463, at the bequest of the same Piero. This discredits the belief that the tra\u00adbeated loggia had been built in these years. Once the correct sequence of events was established, and the probable author of the chapel\u2019s ultimate refurbishment identified as Bernardo Rossellino, the paper moves on to examine one of the chapel\u2019s famous furnishings \u2013 the Holy Water stoup.
