{"id":9976,"date":"2023-08-29T14:29:02","date_gmt":"2023-08-29T12:29:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bollettinodarte.cultura.gov.it\/?page_id=9976"},"modified":"2023-11-07T12:13:28","modified_gmt":"2023-11-07T11:13:28","slug":"federica-siddi-aggiunte-al-tardogotico-lombardo-due-statue-lignee-della-%ca%bdmadonna-col-bambino%ca%bc","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/bollettinodarte.cultura.gov.it\/?page_id=9976","title":{"rendered":"Federica Siddi: Aggiunte al tardogotico lombardo: due statue lignee della \u02bdMadonna col Bambino\u02bc"},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"justify\">\n<p><strong>Estratto dal fascicolo 45 (gennaio-marzo 2020)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Il presente intervento \u00e8 volto a presentare due inedite immagini mariane lignee custodite rispettivamente nella chiesa di San Vittore a Casalzuigno (Varese), e in quella di San Rocco Confessore a Zeccone (Pavia).\u00a0\u00a0Le due opere,\u00a0\u00a0riscoperte nell\u2019ambito di una pi\u00f9 vasta ricognizione condotta dall\u2019autrice nei territori lombardi, si possono ora aggiungere al nucleo di testimonianze rappresentative della produzione lignea della Lombardia di primo Quattrocento. Esse, infatti, dichiarano la loro adesione alle istanze figurative messe a punto, a partire dagli inizi del XV secolo, nel cantiere del Duomo di Milano. Dalla provincia, al riparo dalle dispersioni, le ritrovate\u00a0<em>Vergini\u00a0<\/em>permettono cos\u00ec una riflessione sulla diffusione di quel fortunato idioma anche tra i maestri del legno, documentandone il sostanziale allineamento agli esiti dei loro ben pi\u00f9 noti colleghi scultori in marmo e pittori, all\u2019insegna di un dialogo che si riveler\u00e0 estremamente proficuo e di lunga durata.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: center;\"><strong>Additions to Lombardy\u2019s Late Gothic: two wooden sculptures of the\u00a0Madonna and Child<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This paper presents two previously unpublished wooden images of the <\/span><em style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Madonna<\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. One is housed in the Church of San Vittore in Casalzuigno (Varese), the other in the Church of San Rocco Confessore in Zeccone (Pavia). The two works came to light during a broader survey carried out by the author in Lombardy. They go to join the body of examples of early fifteenth century Lombard carvings. The two of them fit into the pattern of figurative representations that had been honed down during the construction of Milan\u2019s Duomo, from the beginning of the fifteenth century onwards. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When taking the province as a whole, considering they were found scattered far and wide, the rediscovered\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Madonna<\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s offer a chance to reflect on the diffusion of such a fortuitous idiom also amongst the wood carvers of the time. They go to show a substantial alignment in styles with those of their better known colleagues, the painters and sculptors.
